Terms and Conditions

Purchase of any travel services offered Nippon Travel Agency America, Inc. (Hereafter: NTAA) constitutes a contractual arrangement between you and NTAA, and represents your acceptance of this “Terms & Conditions” set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking. If the person making the Reservation is doing so on behalf of a party, then that person must have the authority to accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the entire party and is responsible for ensuring that each member of the party is kept fully informed of all the details of the Reservation.

 

Tour Packages

The tour packages on this website are not only operated by NTAA. In some cases, they are operated by our contracted company(s), in other cases by Nippon Travel Agency which is our parent company in Japan. The Terms and Conditions specified here also apply accordingly. If any dispute arises with this agreement, we will assume that you will attempt to resolve any issues according to the laws of the United States. In addition, the photos which are published on this website are images relevant to the area. It does not always guarantee that you will see the same scenery.

 

Price

All transactions are conducted in U.S. Dollars including tax.

Advertised prices are per person based on a twin room and the least expensive travel date. Prices do not include optional tours or flights. Prices are subject to change without prior notice and may vary depending on availability.

 

Payments

Consultation Fee: NTAA charges a non-refundable consultation fee at the time of first contact, which will then be applied as the deposit of your booking.

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit must be made at the time of confirmation to secure your tour booking, which will then be applied toward the total cost of the booking.  

All services/tours/activities/tickets must be paid in full by Credit card (Payments by credit card incur a 3% Processing Fee) / Check/ Bank transfer, one month prior to the first date of service. All prices will be processed in U.S. dollars, and are subject to additional currency conversions by banks or credit card companies, which are not within NTAA’s control. Reservations for tours may be canceled if a full payment is not received within the required deadline.

 

Refunds

Please note in regards to refunds, any difference that may arise from the fluctuation in the exchange rate will not be NTAA’s responsibly. NTAA will not assume any foreign exchange risk.

 

Changes

The itinerary (tour completion time, places visited, schedules and others) may be changed due to weather, traffic condition, or other operational reasons.

The cost of the tour may be changed due to:

  • An increase or decrease in the price of transportation, accommodation, or other facilities beyond the degree of increase or decrease that would normally be expected due to significant changes in economic conditions, etc.
  • When there is a change in the content of the itinerary due to a natural disaster or other justifiable reason, and there is a corresponding increase or decrease in the price of the arranged institutions, etc.
  • When various taxes are added, abolished, or increased or decreased by the relevant government, etc. in matters pertaining to the arrangement services.
  • In the event of any increase or decrease in the price of the arranged institutions, etc., due to any other reasons similar to those listed in the items of this article.

 

Cancellations

When a reservation is canceled by a customer, the following fees will be incurred.

Standard Policy:

31 or more business days prior to the tour date: Deposit Amount

30 to 15 business days prior to the tour date: 50% of the tour fare

Within 14 business days prior to the tour date: 100% of the tour fare

If there are any other conditions, we will notify the customer.

 

NTAA has the right to cancel the itinerary due to the following reasons:

  • If the traveler has committed or is likely to commit an act contrary to related laws and regulations or public order and morals, which is recognized as an obstacle to the smooth performance of the arranged services.
  • When, in the judgment of NTAA or the guide appointed by NTAA, the performance of the arranged services is deemed to be extremely unsafe for the traveler, or when it is deemed to be disturbing or inappropriate such as being harmful to the social reputation of the traveler.
  • Customer fails or is likely to fail to pay to NTAA the Arrangement Fee or the Deposit.
  • In the event of total or partial inability to perform the contract of arrangement due to unavoidable circumstances on the part of the actual place of arrangement.
  • When it is deemed impossible or unsafe to carry out the Arrangement Services in whole or in part due to natural disasters, war, acts of strife, or other unavoidable circumstances.

In case of a termination of the contract of arrangement in the middle of the trip, NTAA shall cooperate with the customer for return travel arrangements. However, the customer shall bear all costs related to such cooperation.
